THE ALLENTONS:
Since 1994 Los Angeles' very own "The Allentons" have been soulfully jamming out traditional Ska for their loyal fans and spectators. They've also artistically backed the likes of Jamaica's Eric Monty Morris with songs (Penny Reel, Sampson, Solomon Gundie), RICO RODRIGUEZ of Rico & the Rudies, hits like "Africa", "Scarface", He was also Trombonist for The Skatalites after Don Drummond. The Allentons have also had huge events with other L.A. artists such as Hepcat, See Spot, Mobtown, Irie Beats, Ocean 11, and many others. No deaf ears here! Their recorded music can be heard via cd through Steady Beat Records, & various compilation CD's. It doesn't end there! Today, The Allentons continue to perform to loving Ska crowds throughout the country and outside our borders, so If you want to Skank till the soles on your shoes melt! Then, The Allentons are the one's to bring it to you! Ska, Ska, Ska...! THEY MAKE PARTY!

THE BOHUNKS:
The Bohunks began in late 2007 when Zeke, Germ and Ex-Drummer Alex (Current drummer for The Aggrolites) came together to write some tunes and play some shows. Though the band has gone through a few line up changes, the mission has always been the same: make kick ass, soulful ska, reggae and rocksteady music that sounds great. Have a listen to the tunes!

KING STEADY BEAT:
Started Djing in backyard parties in 1983 with DJ Sky, before hip hop was hip hop, it was called electro boogie, ended up spinning high energy and "New Wave" in 87 and moved to house music in 88, discovered the Manchester scene in '89, I went Shoegazer, then started up in back yard parties with an outfit called the Blackpool in So. cal. in 1992, the ska period. Started producing shows in 1993 @ The Hong Kong cafe in China Town, introduced fresh new Ska acts such as YESKA, SEESPOT, OCEAN 11, Mobtown, King Willy.
I started Steady Beat Recordings in 1993 to produce some of the great bands that had no music out at the time. I produces various Records and Cd's. took a break in 2003 because the "scene" was dying, Chris Murray took over the Ska torch and started the Blue Beat lounge. I came back like a phoenix from the ashes in 2008. and I'm back with a vengeance.
